What is included in the Check-Up

Screening for streptococcal triggers (Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus).

Assessment of immune response to streptococcal infection:

Antistreptolysin-O (ASO);
Streptococcal DNase (Anti-DNase B / streptodornase);
Antistreptococcal hyaluronidase.

Microbiological screening

Detection of possible carriage of Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus:

Throat culture for β-hemolytic streptococcus;
Nasal culture for β-hemolytic streptococcus;

Functional neurodiagnostics

Assessment of the functional state of the nervous system:

Electroencephalography (EEG, 30 min).

Preparation for the Check-Up

Since the program includes throat and nasal cultures for Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus, it is important to follow preparation rules to ensure accurate results.

Before sample collection, it is recommended to:

avoid taking antibacterial medications (antibiotics) before the test unless otherwise agreed with a doctor;
avoid using local throat antiseptics (sprays, rinses, antiseptic lozenges) for at least 24 hours prior to the test;
avoid using nasal antiseptic or antibacterial agents before nasal sampling;
on the day of the test, do not eat, drink, brush teeth, or use mouthwash for 2–3 hours before throat swab collection;
do not rinse the nose before sampling.

Important

Failure to follow preparation guidelines may affect the accuracy of microbiological testing and lead to false-negative results.

Individual preparation recommendations are provided during booking or at the initial consultation.
