A high-precision diagnostic program for identifying streptococcal-associated neuroimmune disorders.
PANDAS is a neuroimmune condition in which infectious and autoimmune mechanisms may be associated with the sudden onset or exacerbation of obsessive-compulsive symptoms, tics, anxiety, as well as behavioral and cognitive disturbances in a child.
At VIVERE CLINIC, an Exclusive PANDAS Check-Up has been developed — a standardized diagnostic program based on clinical experience to identify streptococcal triggers, assess neuroimmune mechanisms, and determine further patient management strategy.
What is included in the Check-Up
Screening for streptococcal triggers (Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus).
Assessment of immune response to streptococcal infection:
- Antistreptolysin-O (ASO);
- Streptococcal DNase (Anti-DNase B / streptodornase);
- Antistreptococcal hyaluronidase.
Microbiological screening
Detection of possible carriage of Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus:
- Throat culture for β-hemolytic streptococcus;
- Nasal culture for β-hemolytic streptococcus;
Functional neurodiagnostics
Assessment of the functional state of the nervous system:
- Electroencephalography (EEG, 30 min).
Clinical expert evaluation
- Consultation with a relevant specialist;
- Analysis of examination results and clinical assessment.
